The Secret to Long Hair

The plague affecting many women, young and old, is the keen desire to have long, flowing, hair.  There's something enticing about long hair that everyone seems to love. Unfortunately, many of us are impatient, and wish we could wake up with our hair six inches longer than it was when we went to bed. Although this is impossible, there are some tricks that will help your hair grow faster.

Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner is well known for making hair healthier, longer, and softer---fast! Some people report never seeing such results, but on the other hand, many women claim that their hair grew three inches over a time period of three months while using these products; that's double the average hair growth rate!

When growing out your hair, keep in mind heat damages hair. This includes straighteners, curlers, wands, blow dryers, and hot water. Try washing your hair with warm water, and either decrease your usage of heat styling tools on your hair or eliminate them all together. It'll be difficult to get used to it at first, but before you know it your hair will be much healthier and you'll learn ways to style your hair without heat. Dying your hair and getting highlights is also very damaging.

Common knowledge is that hair should get trimmed every few months to keep it healthy and to keep it growing, however, that's the last thing you'll want to do. If you're trying to grow out your hair, try to get your hair cut as few times a year as possible. I recommend scheduling a hair appointment only when you start to notice dead and split ends. If you don't use any heat and don't dye your hair, this will be around once a year. It probably sounds crazy, but think about it. On average, hair grows a half inch every month. If you get a trim every two to three weeks, your hair isn't going to make any progress in growth.

These are just a few simple tips and tricks to keep in mind. Good luck with growing your beautiful hair out! Remember: be patient!
